Our Story

From Raver to Road Tech — and Back Again

The roots of DecksNFX go all the way back to the mid-90s, when our founder first discovered the magic of raves. It wasn’t just the music — it was the way lighting told the story, syncing emotion with every drop and buildup. That fascination quickly turned into a calling.

After high school, he hit the road as an L2 lighting assistant, diving headfirst into the touring world. Along the way, he worked with incredible talents like lighting designer Jesse Henke and soaked in everything the industry had to offer.

But life took an unexpected turn. An injury forced him to step away from the scene he loved. What followed was a 20-year career in IT — a path that may have led him away from the stage, but sharpened his skills in project management, networking, and systems. In hindsight, it was all preparation.

About five years ago, he made the leap back — this time, on his own terms.

DecksNFX was reborn through powerful partnerships:

• Chris Brodman, owner of Lit Lighting, who rents special effects and DJ gear from us for both local and touring productions.

• Mony, owner of VibeTech AV, who brings serious LED video wall power to the table.

Together, we’ve built more than just a gear network — we’ve created a trusted alliance of production experts who live to elevate shows and exceed expectations.

DecksNFX isn’t just a rental company. It’s the result of a lifelong love for live experiences — and the comeback story of someone who never stopped believing in the power of the vibe.

Chris Brodman – Owner of Lit Lighting
A master of light and design, Chris transforms stages with brilliant visuals. He partners with DecksNFX to deliver immersive lighting and special effects to festivals and tours across the region.

Mony – Owner of VibeTech AV
Mony is a specialist in LED video wall rentals, operating one of Arizona’s go-to sources for high-quality LED display systems. Her collaboration helps bring large-scale visuals to every major event.
